Good things.

So I know that I am not a good blogger, actually a terrible blogger. While I was on here I wanted to just update a little on whats going on with us. We have been doing good, just working, and coming home pretty much!

Dustin has a new job where he is home at 5:45 at the latest, its AWESOME.

We are back in our Sunday school, and I am so thankful we have gotten back into it. Along with Sunday school they have care groups and we "joined" a care group this weekend and everyone there is a HUGE blessing in our lives. They were placed to walk this journey with us at the perfect time, God is Good. We are fixing to be much much more disciplined in spending time in God's word, it's something we have struggled with for a while now and we are determined :)

One of my best friends, who is more like a brother to me, is getting married this weekend. I am very very excited for him. We are driving to Lake Limestone this weekend and I am NOT looking forward to that. I imagine I will just sleep the whole drive.

We haven't been riding our dirt bikes b/c Dustin's friend broke mine. It is in the shop and we should get it today, FINALLY. Also his friend is going to pay for the damages so that made me calm down a bit :) Anyway, I am ready to ride, I feel like I won't remember how!

For the past month or more we have had game night at my friend Becca's house every Thursday. She is amazing really. I really look forward to Thursdays, I so much enjoy the women that come and hang out. I have never in my life been surrounded by so many wonderful ladies, who I know genuinely care and are so Awesome. It's good to be in a room full of ladies and get to be real. I also much mention Jack and Ty(Becca's boys), I spend time with them some Thursdays also and they make me smile every time! Thursdays are a new favorite day for me:)

Well not too much going on here, just thought I would give an update. Have a blessed day.

-C-

Cookies&Cupcakes-I really love cookies & cupcakes, let me re-phrase that, I love baking cookies & cupcakes. I actually LOVE baking all in all. I wear an apron, use my big oven mitts, the cooling racks, icing, sprinkles and you name it I use it. I like to go all out. Just the excitement of my husband coming into the house and hearing him say "MM MM, are you baking again?"(SMILE spread across his face) . It makes it worth it for sure :) I also love when my niece is at our house and she knows her Aunt Ashten likes to bake so we do that almost every time she is there, makes good pictures and memories.

Clothes- Seriously I have WAY too many. I'm slowly but surely getting rid of them, thank goodness. I'm not really sure why I have so many b/c I wear the same stuff all the time. I still enjoy getting new clothes, it can change my wardrobe in an instant. I think about the shoes, pants, skirts, tops or jewelry it will go with. It's like a small adventure :)

Coffee, Coffee, Coffee- Oh man how I love it. It's the perfect invitation for your friends to come visit. I can't think of a better thing, especially in the winter, than having a really good conversation with your best girlfriends over a cup of coffee(with cream&sugar). I've actually become a tiny bit dependant on it in the A.M. sad but true. I want a cup now.....anyone want to come over?? Ha.

Cheerleading-OK this one is a bit on the dorky side but, what do you do right? I miss being a cheerleader a lot some days. It was a very fun time in my life. I miss the bond all of us girls had, being silly and always being there for one another. Merkel being so small gave us the opportunity for us to be close to everyone, looking back I enjoyed that.

Bible, Blogging & Babies- Wierd combo huh?

B.

Bible-Pretty much the most important book in my life, ever! I am learning more and more that turning to the Bible for answers and knowledge is the only way to go. At this point in my life I am digging deeper into the Bible. Well trying, it's so much to take in, but I'm not quitting. I wish I had some extremely profound things to put here but like I said, still learning. I've been a christian for a long time but sometimes lost my way on the path I was walking with the Lord. As I am learning the Bible I am learning how to not lose my way. Thank you for being my Savior and giving it all up for us, continue to guide me in all I do Lord.

Blogging- I have really come to enjoy blogging and blog following. I have followed a blog titled "Bring the Rain" for a very long time but never thought of being a "blogger". After realizing how much I learn and keep up with people I decided to try it. I know my blog is never very interesting but it actually lets me learn about myself sometimes as I type. Blogging also is fun to kill time at work, well unless they block it which is possible, dumb.

Babies-I LOVE babies! I'm am by no means at all ready for one, but I love everyone Else's. They are such a huge blessing and amazing. About a month ago I was at a friends house for coffee and another friend was there and she was pregnant. I've never been one of those persons who "rub pregnant ladies belly's" when you see them. Well she asked if I wanted to feel the baby moving (I could see the baby moving so I said yes) it was something I can't explain. That moment made me really realize how amazing it is to carry a human life, inside your belly. Also is it one of the most wonderful things to watch children grow and develop into little people. Just cool! :)

Starting something new....

So I have decided since I do not really have anything exciting to blog about I'm going to start the ABC's of myself. A friend of mine did this and I have enjoyed it.

Before I start the ABC's, I do want to share something pretty flippin' sweet. Dustin and I are getting tickets to the X-Fighters, for those of you who don't know what that is, let me explain. These 12 AWESOME dirtbike riders go all around the world and do sick killer tricks and fun stuff. It's in June and let me tell you I am PUMPED!! These guys make me so nervous I want to vomit but I don't mind watching because I'm not having to drive them to the hospital.

On with the Alphabet....

A.

Answers-I always want the answers to everything. I can't stand when I have a question with no answer. The Lord is still teaching me in this area of my life, seriously it's been a process. I know I will never get all the awswers but I'm thankful for the lesson the Lord is teaching me.

Attitude-This is something I have WAY to much of. I have been working on it very hard but it is not something that comes overnight, for sure. Also I was an only child so learning to live with Dustin has been an adventure, ha. You never have to share anything then -BOOM- you have to share EVERYTHING. I got an attitude alot at first, it's better but a ways to go.

American Idol-I have really got into this show this season, Dustin used to be the one who always had to watch but now it's me. The beginning, when they do the auditions is hilarious, but once they get into their "own" performer I really enjoy it. I was attatched to some contestants because of their stories and I got lost in really listening to them. When I opened my ears, my mind changed about it. Like I said this is my first year to really be attached but MAN o MAN all of them are SO good. I'm really glad Allison is left, you rock on Girl!

This alphabet thing might not be very entertaining but stick around it could get better. Have a blessed day!

4/21/2009

Today is a hard day.

A year ago today one of our best friends passed away. I had never really dealt with death with someone that close to me or as close to my age. It's been something I can not grasp, at all. I have spent so much time in prayer asking for answers but I know God will give them to me when he's ready. At first I was very very angry, with whom I'm not sure, but I was mad because he was gone, it's a little better but I know I still have a long way.

Well he was seriously Dustin's best friend, I mean Chris loved Dustin like a brother and treated him like one too. Dustin felt the same and was closer to him than his real brothers. He was always very helpful around our house and was ALWAYS willing to buy or give anyone anything. Chris actually lived with us off and on for a good while, he worked all over the place and there was no point in paying rent and sometimes he just didn't want to go to his parents. Sometimes Chris felt like our "red-headed stepchild" and He and I got along like brother and sister. We loved the crap out of one another but we could surely butt heads, and let me tell you, we were both VERY stubborn :)

He was a very loving guy, and if you were his friend you knew that he loved you, every time he saw you. He loved doing things at the drop of a hat, not much of a planner, but it usually always turned out to be fun. Most of the time, ha. Dustin and Chris were roommates for a while and they "adopted" a dog together, his name is Apollo. Well when they moved Dustin took Apollo since Chris was traveling so much. Then we realized I was highly allergic to that sweet boy, so Chris took him to his parents, and now he lives with his Gramps and Grams. He's such a good dog, he misses Chris, he still waits for him at the door. Chris also loved having toys and he influenced my husband to want them also, so I half way blame Chris for our dirt bikes, LOL.

Chris bought a Harley nightster, which he came to show us immediately after, Dustin was jealous. Well then Dustin was going to trade in my Jeep for a hunter green hummer that we loved, well he told Chris about it and of course the next week it was in our driveway. Except it wasn't mine, dang. I wanted to punch him for getting my car, instead he threw me the keys and let me drive it, then I didn't feel like punching so much :) Well his bike and hummer were his toys, and he loved them both. Another adventure was the road trip we all took.....that's for another day.

Chris passed away doing what he loved, riding his Harley unfortunately. If you ride a motorcycle please wear a helmet and be cautious of idiots that don't pay attention. I could go on and on about Chris and his life, but I don't have enough time in my day, I just miss him SO much.

-I miss the way he loved my husband.

-I miss his hugs, he always hugged, always.

-I miss his loud laugh.

-I miss him loving and wrestling with my dogs.

-I miss him playing his guitar and singing to me.

-I miss having coffee with him in the mornings at our house.

-I miss his truck, Harley or hummer in our driveway.

-I miss his attitude.

-I miss his honesty.

-I miss his spontaneity.

-I miss seeing him on the couch in the mornings.

-I miss his dirty clothes all over our floor, weird.

-I miss his extremely loud music, I always knew when he was down the street.

-I miss his RANDOM visits when he got in from out of town.

-I miss being able to have a heart to heart with him and getting genuine advice.

-I miss his blue eyes and bright red hair.

-I miss HIM.

So I'm trying not to cry right now, I just needed to get all that off my chest. I love and miss Chris so much. I know I will see him again someday but for now all I can do is remember. Miss you buddy.

Mondays.....BLAH

This weekend was pretty relaxing for the most part and I loved it. My poor husband had to work ALL weekend and he missed church, bummer. I was pretty ticked at his company but what do you do? I mean I could raise alot of heck and make a scene but I didn't, he might not ever speak to me again.

My wonderful niece Zay came to visit us this weekend and we had SO much fun. She is growning up so fast and I can't believe it. I mean I can't imagine having children and them growing up that fast and being so smart and talking up a storm. She kept asking if my new friends were coming back this weekend, she was referring to Jack and Ty, they had been over 2 weekends before. She wasn't too sure about them at first when she met them but apparently she liked them. She informed this weekend that sometimes she has to be shy, HA. I mean how could you not love those boys, they are great! Also while she was here my best friend Salvador had come over to eat dinner with us. Zay took a liking to him which is unusual because she "acts shy" around people most of the time. Well they became besties very quick. We decided to teach her to say "SALVADOR"....this was a memorable moment. At first it was uncle Sa-uer(sour), that was good enough at first. Then all the sudden Salvador rolls off her tounge like shes been saying if for years. Then she changes it up a bit....

Let me set up the scene...She's "swimming" in the bath tub after she has shot Sal and I with all the water guns in the tub. Which she was told to stop to doing, so she began to swim. Then out of nowhere she pops up from her olympic swimming race and says, drum roll, SalvaDORK. She laughed at herself forever I think, I couldn't tell because I was laughing to hard. It was like this light was turned on and she was thrilled. So it has become a joke now, might not be funny to you but if you were there, it would be. Also she talked me (has me around her finger) into watching The Lion King twice this weekend, I'm still singing Hakuna Mattata. I need that song today, seriously. People are pushing every button that is possible to push.

Anyway I am just going on now, church was good this Sunday, just so you know. I love the Lord so much and I wish everyone loved Him just as much. Man He is so good! Well have a good day and please keep us in your prayers, we need it right now.

Be Blessed.

April Fool's Day

So today my best friend Salvador called me and told me some wonderful news!! He got accepted to a school in Virginia, to become a PA. I am SO proud of him, he has worked his butt of to get where he is and deserves every moment of it. He explained to me that it is tough to get into a PA school, and if he wouldn't have got accepted it could have been another year before he could get in another school. Well, like I said I am very proud of him but it is very bittersweet because he is my best bud and we hang out a lot. When he is making the big bucks though, he will be buying me stuff and buying me dinner so I don't have to cook!

Something really exciting for me today is that I bought my own helmet for my dirtbike! It's HOT pink, silver and has a cross on the back, nice!! We are having to get something fixed on my bike also and that mess is expensive!! Dang. Dodie and I also finished our bible study, Beautiful in God's Eyes, today. For those of you who don't know Dodie, she is my mentor from church. We were paired together and it is a great match, I love her:) We are going to be starting a new study on learning how to disciple, I'm pretty pumped but also nervous. Just keep me in your prayers that I can learn this bible study and serve the Lord to the best of my ability. Well I'm going to help my sweet hubby do something in the garage, he's calling me from out there, blah.

Have a blessed night.
